virtual floppy drive??

is there any way to create a virtual a: drive (for those of us w/o a floppy at the moment)? i was thinking maybe some kind of ram disk or somesort maybe?

I am completely baffled... What use is a virtual floppy drive?

Surely the only point of a floppy drive is that its easily portable? Other than that its just a very small, very slow hard disk?
I mean, if you really wanted to you could make a tiny HD partition or something, but what's the point?

yes, i'm fully aware of the cost of a floppy drive. You see, i'm too lazy to get it in stalled and paint it all up 😉 And the reason i'm asking is so i can make a bootable cd.. since it generally requires a boot disk to create the cd.

😛 i dunno, i'm just against the whole floppy drive... it's so old. Half the floppy disks from the last pack i had were bad.
