Does any one have any links to reviews of Virtual Channel Memory. I Read some a while a ago and plan on getting some for my new 1.1ghz T-Bird. Just wanted to see the benchmarks again🙂
Its not too much faster but it overclocks really well. If you've got the money go ahead and buy some. www.kingston.com has it and i think pricewatch may have it for cheaper.
Well its not much more expensive than regular pc133 CAS2 ram from the vender I am buying from. Alienware🙂 Yah I remeber that it gave some good proformance marks. Any more comments?Links?
I am surprised not more places offer VC memory. Umm thats going to give my new system a nice boost🙂 Just wondering any one heard anything nagitive about VC mem?
I've got 256 megs of vc-133 ram I use on my p3v4x. I bought it because it overclocks well and i got it for 140 a stick a few months ago. The only downfall is it only works on via chipsets.
Its cas 2 and the bios automaticly enables 2 way interleaving on my p3v4x. 4 way with vcm is a limit of the chipset according to kingston and mine only works with 2 way on my mobo. 2 way vcm is still faster than 4 way pc133. Newer via boards may support vcm with 4 way but I'm not sure.
