Virtu MVP Requires Discrete Card?

I just put together my build with an ASRock Z77 Pro4-M, which features Virtu MVP. I opted to stick with the HD4000 graphics of the i5 3570k for now, but I still thought I'd be able to make use of the Virtu MVP feature of the motherboard. Well, now I'm running into issues trying to get it to work as it keeps telling me I have a GPU configuration error. Do I absolutely need a discrete card for this feature to work?
