VIRQ enabled or disabled ?

I am installing a Geforce MX4000mb PCI video card on my K62 rig (no AGP) which has a Sis 8mb onboard video.

I know I need to set the VGA jumper to disabled but what do I set the VIRQ to, dis or en?

thanks

Thanks but would you mind giving a brief explanation as to why?

BTW the card works either way but frankly I was expecting a slightly better boost in performance...large 1600x1200 pages still have a little bid of a delay popping up.

As far as I know your video card needs an IRQ and I have always given it one on every system I put together. That is also the default setting on all motherboards I have had contact with. 2D performance has not changed in the past several years, if you want a boost then a faster CPU/motherboard/memory are in order.

Oh the 2D has improved though, the onboard video is 8mb shared , 1600x1200 was not usable because of the delay ..not to mention it was poor looking. Now the pages pop up after just a slight delay and it looks as good as my 6800GT.

But I think you are right, at this point the CPU is the bottleneck/unfortunately its not the ram 192mb seems to be more than enough. 256mb would be overkill for this CPU, IMO.

I think its an excellent basic task/internet PC even as it is.
