T%his is why we were warned not to judge others because how we judge others is how we condemn ourselves.

Seeing as how I've never ordered a double contract-killing I'm pretty confident that judging Teresa Lewis won't get me condemned.

Don't kill people or we will kill you. Do as we say not as we do. What a fucking joke. As we do the least among us...................

Moonbeam, using that logic we can't fine someone for stealing or put someone in prison for kidnapping.

If we were talking about Iran, I'm sure you would feel different.

what does iran have to do with this case?

she got 2 guys to shoot her step son and husband to death with shotguns.

and you are going to compare that to what, a stoning in Iran?

I'm trying to give perspective.
To the modern western world your executions are primative and barbaric

Eh, I like our death penalty and believe that most "Life" should be converted to "Death" as to limit the drain on society in keeping these people alive. As long as they are allowed to go through the appeal process and stay around long enough for new evidence to appear (some amount of years) then let em die.

Everyone is remorseful once caught. We need to end these types on the spot rather than later. If you are trying to hire a killer, trying to kill someone, or have killed someone outside of self-defense...do not pass go, do not collect $200, please accept this small token of lead as a consolation prize.

Make it a requirement that anyone released from prison have a college degree, you stay until you have one.
Repeal drug laws.

Do the above and they will have room to incarcerate anyone they need to and make it real prison for murder, not the summer camp it is now.

Yup, we're right there with China and the Arabs on capital punishment. We're the only western nation with an oriental rather than occidental view on this issue. It's also very statist, ceding the power of life and death to the government. That's us.

I see this so often posted in here and and am just amazed at it.
One night in a state pen and most people claiming this would be a shriveling ball of piss.

If you really have no idea, just watch a couple of episodes of The Squad: Prison Police.
After that you may gain just a slight glance of what it's like.

a fetus is not a baby. and it should be up to the woman and not the state as to whether or not she has an abortion.

A fetus is closer to being a human being than the people that deserve the death penalty are.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarceration_in_the_United_States#Conditions
The non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch raised concerns with prisoner rape and medical care for inmates.[27] In a survey of 1,788 male inmates in Midwestern prisons by Prison Journal, about 21% claimed they had been coerced or pressured into sexual activity during their incarceration, and 7% claimed that they had been raped in their current facility.[28]
In August 2003, a Harper's article by Wil S. Hylton estimated that "somewhere between 20 and 40% of American prisoners are, at this very moment, infected with hepatitis C". Prisons may outsource medical care to private companies such as Correctional Medical Services, which, according to Hylton's research, try to minimize the amount of care given to prisoners in order to maximize profits.

I'm sure your parents told you it was summer camp they were sending you to, but believe it or not, most summer camps do not involve rape.
