Hmm - were you singing the same song in 2000?
 
I remember hearing on the news last night that after the last mandated recount in virginia, the difference ended up being something like 27 votes. so with a +1% difference, it might just not be worth it for Allen (and the republican party as a whole) to contest it and be portrayed as sore losers.

2000 was a bit difference... mostly because Gore would have won if they went through with the recount 😛
