I have yet to drive a car with paddle shifters as good as a traditional manual.
Agreed, manual or automatic IMO, nothing inbetween. Inbetween is just for people who want to feel like they have something to say to the car enthusiasts besides an automatic transmission.

While paddle auto is not as good as a traditional manual, it gives you control of the shifting when you want like a manual. That's something traditional automatic can't do. It worked extremely well in the mountain when I was in 2nd and 3rd gear pretty much the whole time. Traditional auto would've been all over the place. I didn't even notice the shifting lag which is something I notice when driving and shifting in the city.

I know people say you can never have too much horsepower but I think I've enough. I'm not skilled enough as it is.

Post pics of your S2000 as proof. 😉

I didn't wreck my S2000. My dumb brother-in-law did.
