Finally broke my Vette in after two months. Took her up to the GA mountains near Vogel State Park to celebrate and test the car's handling and brakes. Left the mountain grinning ear to ear. A6 paddles worked almost good as a stick once I got used to the mechanics. The car has insane pickup in 2nd and 3rd gear.

I know people say you can never have too much horsepower but I think I've enough. I'm not skilled enough as it is.

The problem isn't too much horsepower, but getting it on the ground ;)

For those of you saying you can't have enough power - are you serious? Once you cross 400HP, IMO, it's best to leave that alone for the track - the car just isn't setup well for both street and track, you have to make a decision of which route you want to go. I mean, I guess I don't see how often you're going to be able to enjoy the full power in your daily driving. I suppose if you just want to drive around with full throttle in first gear, go ahead, have fun, but the fun is past all that in the next few gears. Most Corvette owners, IMO, don't drive the car to its full potential.

Agreed, manual or automatic IMO, nothing inbetween. Inbetween is just for people who want to feel like they have something to say to the car enthusiasts besides an automatic transmission.

Well I like the DSG TipTronic transmissions. They outperform manuals in shift speed on all tests. Also they can be switched from automatic to manual mode paddle shifter mode. =)

With a Corvette, he shouldn't have any problem taking care of that problem as well.

The car won't keep you going where it counts.
