The plane carried medical equipment, including incubators and defibrillators, as well as drugs for tuberculosis, blood pressure and heart disease, for hospitals in Basra and the southern region.

"If there's need for more, there will be more," Branson promised.

What a good guy, hopefully other CEO's will make similar contributions. I also like how he stuck in the fact that his airline wouldn't mind being the premier airline for Iraq 😛

Still though, he has got to be one of the coolest uber rich people out there.

He's great. I remember just after 911 he was offering ridiculously low rates for London to NY and organizing groups of rich people to fly over to NY to donate and/or pour money into NYC's local economy.

Any particular reason you need to bring Bush into every discussion, or is it that you are just all out of original thoughts?

You presume he started with some

I really like how pro-active this guy was on this issue. It seems like everyone just bitches about the problems Iraq is having right now but don't actually do anything about it.

Only if the Iraqis buy the windows licences 😉

I'm sure he already donated in some form or another. Doesn't he donate like 15Bil/year or something?
