Finally got my system running after some noobish problems:

Well, at least now I learned how to properly install ram
Specs are in my sig. I am running stable at 1T memory timings, with Corsair ValueSelect memory. To quantify my enjoyment, I ran some benches:
3DMark2k1: 20,923 (My jaw dropped at this figure - it's almost 2X higher than what my previous rig posted)
3DMark2k3: 10,849 (This also pleased me, I was expecting a figure below 10K after reading several reviews on the 6800 GT)
Doom3 Timedemo 1: 56.5 fps (avg of 3 benches ran at High Quality, 1280x1024, 4xAA) I was very pleased with this figure. I originally ran the bench at 1600x1200, but the framerate seemed awfully high, and I'm thinking the game defaulted to my screen's natural res of 1280x1024. Eitherway, I'm really pleased that I could run Doom3 at high settings. The game looks great and runs so smooth.
I'm extremely pleased with my new rig, it boots amazingly fast, and can handle the next gen games - I'm itching to see if I can get an EQ2 bench to see how it handles
The AT forums helped immensely with my research, especially MechBgon's online noobie guide. Thanks to everyone who helped on the tech support forums, and AT for providing great resources for a first time builder
