ViPower SATA PCI controllers - any good?

I'm considering the $46 dollar ViPower SATA controller sold by NewEgg. Anyone have experience with these? I've linked to it below.

It'll look nice next to a shiney red 9800 Pro I think - but I don't want to by something crappy just for the color.

Uses the same Silicon Image controller chip that most motherboards do. Drivers will probably be generic, or maybe slightly modified to show the brand name. Should work exactly the same as any motherboard with the same chip integrated.
