Viper II and Intel D815EEAL and Win ME = total crash

Just tried to install this card yesterday and after installation (took the newest drivers from Diamond's website), I only had a background screen on my monitor, no mouse pointer. Tried few times, nothing worked (no cold reset possible).
I took out the card and then the whole pc crashed.
Anyway, I've been able to restore it to a date, but the restore doesn't seem to be really good. Most probably I'll need to do a reinstall.
Are there any fixes or ways to install this card with 815E chipset?

Hmm...never heard of that before...just reinstall with Win98SE (I hate WinME! =P) and go to http://www.sdnews.net forum and see what they have to say.

One thing to make sure of is that the AGP 1x/2x,4x jumper is set correctly and matches the BIOS speed selection setting. This could cause a crash.

EDIT: By the way, the latest drivers from Diamond's web-site aren't the latest drivers available from S3 - go to the files section of www.savagenews.com and get the latest from there - the newest sets support the i815 as there were a few compatibilty (not that bad though) problems.
