It's been discussed here before, but it's always worthy of a repost.

I have that magazine, BTW.

beautiful car, but the hp/liter ratio could be better. stock is less than 50hp/l, this is getting 104hp/l.

still an amazing car :)

On a 1/4 mi track with much laid down rubber possible but not on the street, maybe 3.1, 3.2.

From the article:

"After a 10-sec quarter-mile run (street tires wildly spinning the entire way; rearend skating left and right toward the guardrails), you'll probably need to change your underwear."

The key word there is street tires. No drag radials mentioned... :D
(aren't I the nitpicker today... must be the 30 hours and counting with no sleep)

Buy a bike, you crazies, if you want that kind of acceleration for less than $10K. :)
It really is easier on the wallet.

I wonder what the final barrier will be...

I remember once when only motorcycles not cars went 0-60mph in 4 seconds...

It is hard to imagine 0-60 in less than 2 1/2 seconds...

I wasn't really refering to slicks but the track surface, if its a 1/4 track than its got massive amount of "rubber' laid down which would give even normal tires much greater levels of grip than on the street, the wheel spin is less.
