I was playing Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, and in the loading screen I noticed it says "Try spinning out aggressive cops by running hard into their back side panels." I could just see someone doing that in real life and saying "i learned it in NFS:HP2"

I hate it when people do this.
If you kill someone it might have been because of music. Or movies. Or a videogame.
It's not because you are a crazy psycho.

Their own desire for evil trained them.

I know that's what got me on the path of destruction. Why, just watching Mario jump over barrels engulfed in flames was enough to fuel my psycopathic urges. I'd say the game that finally tipped me over the edge was Super Mario Brothers. Just look how that game trains you to be a homicidal maniac. If you ever wanted to beat King Koopa before saving the princess you had to go in there packing some firepower. Without the holy flame to purge the dungeon of his miserable existance you could only run like a coward and drop him into the lava. Shoot to kill was the message in that game.

i think in a special people said that the DC sniper taught his apprentice how to snipe, and eased him to the feeling of sniping with halo. AT first i believed it, which made me want to play halo more, but when i played halo, it wasn't realistic enough for me to believe that anymore. Still cool th ough (halo).

This guy's way off base. I picked up all my murderous tendencies watching Roadrunner cartoons on Saturday mornings. I am now a full-fledged ACME demolitions expert.

When more ice cream is bought by the general public, the frequency of violent killings goes up dramatically. Does that mean that ice cream is to blame? Well, no...it's probably due to the fact that more ice cream is sold in summer, which is the time of year when more people are killed.

Statistics can be used to prove whatever you want. I can guarantee that nobody has ever killed another person because their mind was twisted by video games. Their mind was already a malfunctioning mess. They would have had tendencies toward aggression and aggressive behavior. Those tendencies make violent video games enjoyable to them. That is a completely different situation than a normal, healthy mind playing the same game.

Basically, in short, nutcases should not play violent video games, or watch violent movies, or listen to violent music, or read violent books, or watch the news....etc, etc. For everybody else, those things are fine. Oh, and for all the parents out there that let their kids play games for 13 hours a day....you suck at being a parent.

Here is what I don't understand. Why do videogames need to have so much violence? I mean can't they make videogames about some other things, like say spreading the word of the Gospel? Wouldn't it be totally neat if you were a Christian missionary in a far off land, and all you had was the Bible and your faith in the Lord to guide you and spread the Love of Jesus Christ?

-Praise the Lord.

How about a video game of the crucifiction? That would be cool. You could play Jesus trashing synagogues and trying to escape the Romans. The confrontation with Pontius Pilate would be the Boss level.

I have played way too many "violent" games. I guess I'm on my way to being the worst serial killer of all time. I blame Doom!

We should kill his family and say that God made us do it.

Either that, or movies....or poor journalism...
