Vio set to 3.3 or 3.45 for overclocking??

anyone can explain why should i increase the voltage of Vio for overclocking??

it seems that when i increased my Vio, it is more stable
 
it feeds more volts to the ram, and the north and south bridges, i think i raised mine to 3.6, on a a7v133, and started getting ie errors.
