VIO questions for Iwill KK266

I have an Iwill KK266 and am running a 1gig AXIA Athlon, with 256megs of Kingmax PC150 ram. I haven't had this system for very long and am trying to figure out what the highest stable speed I can get the processor and fsb up to is.

So... about this VIO thing. The Iwill board has an option to boost the VIO by either 5% or 10%. Currently I'm running at 10% over normal.

I'm wondering what the advantages/disadvantages are to boosting the VIO. Running at the default setting, I can get my memory up to 159Mhz CAS 2-2-2 with 4way interleave on (the ram is perfectly stable at this setting). With VIO boosted by 10% I can get to 160 - 161, but I don't think they're really 100% stable - more tests still to to :) Anyway not much of a difference for that 10% extra voltage.

I guess my main Q is: Is it safe to leave the VIO on +10%. By this I mean, will it damage any of my components (Kingmax PC-150, Lucent Winmodem, Radeon 64vivo).

Cheers guys,

You should be fine. The jumper only ups the VIO to 3.45v from the default 3.3v. I used to run my KT7A-R @ 3.6v with no problems. Anything over 3.6v is not a good idea in my opinion, but the highest you can go with the Iwill is 3.45v. I keep my +10% jumper on and I am running @ 167 FSB now completely stable, but I have had it up to 170...not completely stable though. My Crucial PC133 gives up @ 170+...not bad for PC133 memory.
