Does increasing the VIO by 5%or 10% change performance? What are the risks? Is this change recommended if I plan to OC using FSB/multiplier ratios?

Advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Dhanu...

Increasing Voltage won't improve performance directly.

It improves stability at higher speeds (within reason, because increasing voltages also increase heat and eventually too much heat causing instabilities), so you can get better overclocks with higher voltage.

Going from 3.3V to 3.5V allowed me to:

Go from 140 to 145 FSB on my KT7A.

Take my RAM from 155 to 158 @ CAS 2 on my KK266.

So raising the VIO will help your memory and/or chipset to achieve a higher speed (maybe).
