Vintage Unix love - SunIPX GUI?

Years ago, I saw a picture of an old SunIPX workstation and for some reason the ultra-geeky retro-computor in me is really attracted to the GUI.
So, I was just wondering what window manager this box shipped with.
I'm assuming it's CDE on Solaris1.x
Can anyone confirm this? Is there a modern replacement/lookalike for other *nix?

actually those things used openwindows, which is complete crap. it was so unintuitive i'm surprised they didn't scrap it.

I just had a look at openwindows screenshots.
Ugly, indeed.
The picture I'm looking at is nothing like that garbage.
Maybe it's been doctored.
I guess I'll just have to make a theme to satisfy my vintage aesthetics.

I must have been reading your mind, HigherGround, 'cause I just got xfce earlier today.

Thanks for the answers.

The IPXs didn't run CDE, they ran OpenWindows, like jhu said.

The window manager they ran was "ovwm"

And yes, it was crap.
