Very interesting site. Just sucked up almost an hour of my time.

It's amazing how many predictions are right in that article! She must have really talked to some people that knew what they were talking about.

Some of it couldn't be more wrong though, especially the part about how everyone will be a tri-athlete.

Damn, that's pretty cool. The fitness one was a bit of a reach, but it wasn't as extreme as everyone being a tri-athlete; it's not nearly that hard to walk 10 miles. Now, if she'd said like running 10 miles in an hour was the standard...

The best part was when it said people will live to be fifty years old lol.

They got the airplane all wrong too. Although most of our goods do still travel by ship.

In the 1950's, they predicted we would have flying cars and cities in the skies (a la the Jettsons) by the year 2000. I'm pretty dissapointed.

heh

It really sucked when I tried to fly my personal flying machine to the city and got stopped by the city roof. You'd think they would have gotten rid of the roof what with the weather control device. I was going to take the moving walkway to get there, but the train/boat had derailed and blocked it. Plus, these guys stole all my money and all the cop did was watch them through the X-Ray machine.

They didn't think about or conceive the concept of the internet. The author was referring to parcel delivery.

I dunno, in the first link it sure seemed like those pirates were downloading that opera movie through their tube.

Theater in the year 2000 indeed, indeed.
