It's amazing how many predictions are right in that article! She must have really talked to some people that knew what they were talking about.

These prophecies will seem strange, almost impossible. Yet they have come from the most learned and conservative minds in America. To the wisest and most careful men in our greatest institutions of science and learning I have gone, asking each in his turn to forecast for me what, in his opinion, will have been wrought in his own field of investigation before the dawn of 2001 - a century from now. These opinions I have carefully transcribed.

Since the article was in a magazine called "The Ladies Home Journal", I figured it was a female that wrote the article. This appears to be incorrect, however, as the author's name is John.LOL

Judging from the stream of light coming from that cone, I'd call it a light canon that happens to also project images
At the same time, on the right side of her dress the darkest part is just about as dark as the wall so looks like they might have a pretty decent contrast ratio going.
I can only assume that color reproduction and increased resolution (especially in the facial region) would be enhanced once ambient light in the parlor was reduced![]()

Some of it couldn't be more wrong though, especially the part about how everyone will be a tri-athlete.
