Vincent Lecavalier to Devils...

Rumor has it that Vincent Lecavalier will be traded to NJ Devils this week for Scott Gomez and a draft pick.

I think that will be a huge addition to my Devils, but I'm not sure if Lecavalier will be able to adjust to the defensive style NJ takes (even though they are one of the best offensive teams as well). What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure Tampa said Lacavalier is not going to be traded. Besides, why sign him if they were going to trade him?

I dont know whats going on with this team right now...

Gomez isn't playing like he can and the team wants to get rid of him
Holik wants to be traded and will be gone after this season
Brodeur had some problems w/ management, but signed a 2 year deal this season
Arnott was just stripped of his A (given to Holik so maybe they're trying to get him to stay)
I've heard that Sykora isn't that happy either.

Gomez has yet to recover from losing Mogilny as a linemate. Without him he looks lost. It might be an alright idea to trade him.....
That said, Im a Leafs fan. There's nothing the Devils can do to prevent the inevitable post season spanking the Leafs are gonna hand them this year......errr....I hope : )

As much as big Lou has done with the Devils and their farm team, there is only so much talent you can bring up. I'm so pissed off that that bastard wouldn't shell out another $600,000 to keep Mogilny around (Mogilny wanted to sign a multi-year contract). You can't afford to NOT have a player like him in your lineup. He had 41 fscking goals last year for christs sake!
