Yeah, VY pretty much ran away with it, but after the way he beat the Texans was it ever in doubt? I was glad to see Maurice Jones-Drew get some attention over Bush though, he clearly had the more productive year with a lesser team that plays in the AFC. I was surprised that Devin Hester didn't get more recognition though seeing as Special Teams is the Bears forte' and he just set the record for TD returns. No surprise on defense either, DeMeco Ryans led the league in tackles and looks to be a solid Linebacker.

Ryans is a tackling machine. He was when he was at Alabama and he is in the pros now. Despite the fact that rookies rarely make the Pro Bowl, I really wondered how he didn't.

Another Alabama player, defensive end Mark Anderson, came in second for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Damn that's right, bet Saban wishes they were still around for his first year.

Got to give props to Norm Chow on designing an offense that went from Kerry Collins and that other QB (forgetting his name) to Vince Young and doing a great job of taking advantage of Young's abilities at an early stage in his career.

Gotta luv Marcus McNeil placing 4th. At least some respect for a OT. Linemen cant win that award but its nice to know people noticed.

As Tennessee being my favorite team, I wasn't all disappointed that they lost to New England. I figure any team that blunders around that much in the beginning of the season deserves to wait a year. I mean, the come back from 0-5 was great....but I think getting to the playoffs would only be practice for them. Vince needs more pro-experience before he's ready to compete in the SuperBowl....maybe as soon as next season. *crosses fingers*

Edit...the pro-experience comment comes from the way he moves in the pocket (often trying to run rather than rolling out and throwing the ball away)....or when he sometimes hurries the throw and makes poor decisions throwing into double coverage. He'll get it after the QB coach drives it into his brain by watching the tapes in the off season.

Billy Volek...whom they sent to SD.

Volek is awesome if you ask me....he's just extremely green. I would guess that with proper coaching, he could be an EXCELLENT QB in 4 seasons, but Vince is already pretty near perfect with some minor decision issues and lacking the *touch* that McNair has. (aka, throws a little too hard)

Damn, Colston would've had more votes if he hadn't been injured. I can't wait to see how he performs in the playoffs.

He shoulda got more votes! Playing the most important OL position on the league's best (so far) team, paving the way for a record setting year from LT. San Diego seems to run left a lot, too. Maybe if he'd been drafted in the first round.
