I did read the whole article. Cost,noise and condensation are serious draw-backs.

The part where the fan has to cut in & out to prevent condensation was telling.

allelectronics.com has one or two cheap peltiers for sale for those interested in modding.

I would have to agree with this. It is a nice idea to have a all-in-one package; this implementation just does not cut it.
