Viewsonic just relased a new model of this monitor, it is the same price ( 400$) and has a 2 ms instead of 4 ms response time! they have it on newegg ( =

coopermckay which one are you talking about, we've talked about all the high end 19" Viewsonics in this post.

You mean the VX922?

Who cares about viewing angle? Honestly. The vast, vast majority of gamers don't usually have somebody with them who needs to see the screen clearly. As long as you, the user, can see it well from a comfortable angle, who cares if it gets distorted when you move your head way to the sides. That's just nitpicking.

I'm getting a VX924 this week myself. I know the VX922 is faster, but the only difference is the lower advertised response time , and it's possible that I'll be happy with the performance of the VX924 anyway. I just hate ghosting. Hate it. If sacrificing a little color accuracy is a necessity to eliminate ghosting, then I'll take it. I rarely ever watch any movies on my PC, so I'm not too worried about that. I just don't want ghosting in games. From what I have read (and since the VX922 hasn't been out long enough), the VX924 seems to be the most ghost-free 19" LCD display out there.

Thanks for all the replies, the box I just built is a SLI rig for gaming, but I might on ocassion watch some movies, I don't really know at this point in time, because it was really built for one thing in mind gaming.

I really want true to life color, the best between these, so I really don't know, at this point in time it is still a toss up between the VX924 or the VP930b.

But really if there is a better monitor for gaming, I'd like to hear it.

Anyone else please?

THANKS

17'' over 19'' LCD's have the same res the 17'' will look better because the pixels arent stretched and you wont be able to see anymore with the 19'' maybe get a 2001FP? that is 20.1 1600x1200.

Well I haven't bought a monitor yet and I just remembered the thread, so wanted to still seek some more help, input.

Ahh yes I heard the downside of these 19" is the resolution, so a 20" now maybe is the ticket? Again the thing is, this will be mainly a gaming box and the occassional flick to watch, but other then that it's a gamer.

THANKS

The Samsung 204B is supposed to be excellent, but check the Video forum. I believe it was deadken who was awaiting his. He said he'd post a review in his thread about it.

i believe that Dell also sell viewsonic. i mention that only because of the return policies. i have seven dell 1905FP but i am not a gamer.

i need to borrow a game form the 14 year old next door.

"i need to borrow a game form the 14 year old next door", LOL oh that's too funny. 😉

Anyone else?

THANKS
