Hi everyone,
Yesterday, I forked out $1200 for a 19" LCD monitor. I've been wanting to get a nice LCD monitor for quite awhile, and yesterday I was building a system for a friend -- so I figured selling him my old 19" CRT was enough to prompt me to make a quick stop-by at CompUSA (convenience).
I know if I did research I could save some money... but I'm hoping that now that I bought it I can find a better retail price elsewhere, then go back and get a price match. So if anyone knows of anything, I'd be most grateful.
I'll be looking myself.
FYI -- This is a great monitor. It's 1280x1024 and runs at 75Hz, and 16.75lbs -- and have looked at several reviews over the past few months on various monitors. I forced CompUSA to setup the monitor so I could check for dead pixels, and was pleased to find it in perfect condition. They also had a KDS with similar specs for the SAME price... but it was really sad to compare. They were trying really hard to push those *things* out the door and didn't have the VX900 on display. And it has *magic* touch buttons instead of real push buttons for controls -- that beep. So for any of those hardcore gamers holding off on a LCD because of slow refresh... think again, the time has finally come!
