Will I be able to hook up a Playstation 3 to my monitor (Viewsonic VX2035wm)? If so, do I need any extra cables or anything that doesn't come with the PS3 or monitor? What kind of picture can I expect (Will I actually be able to play in HD?)

What kind of inputs does the monitor have? I doubt it has the HDMI input. If it does, then you are good. If it has only DVI, then you have to be sure that your monitor is HDCP compliant.
