Hello,

I'm having a hard time finding Viewsonic VX2025wm drivers for Win 7 64 bit. They do not have support for this model on the manufacturer's website anymore. I have tried a few other models, but they do not work.
The problem is the only available resolutions with the std monitor driver are of non-widescreen format.
Any help? Thanks.

So, I should get a 3rd party SW to allow the monitor's native 1650x1080 resolution?

I found a Viewsonic Unsigned x64 driver, but on updating driver, it says "The system cannot find the file specified". Anyone know what could cause this?

Tried your first download link. On installation it gives the dialog box:
"Your monitor is not found. Please go to www.viewsonic.com and download the Standard_Monitor_Driver_Unsigned_x64 file"

I have tried this Unsigned file as well. But you can see in my previous post of my problem there.

Edit: Similar problem with your 2nd link.

Your problem isn't the INF file (which is not a driver). Windows does not require (or even utilize) mode-setting info from an INF file.

Hmmm... I wonder why the available modes are so limited then. There are no widescreen options. I remember on XP with this monitor, I didn't have the 1680x1050 option till I installed the Viewsonic driver. I now have this problem since upgrading to Win 7.

I have this monitor and I can only use the vga and not digital. I have given up on it for digital for a year or two now but It is still my main screen :(. If you can get it to work I will have to see if it solves my problem (fingers crossed).

I don't even remember the connection I'm using... I won't be back to that computer/monitor for a few days... will look into that later, then.

BTW, what display adapter are you using? Intel and AMD have issues with mode-setting on Win7 (Intel has them no matter the OS, AMD seems to have some issues only on Win7).

I believe it's a NVIDIA 4200Ti. I won't be back at the computer for a few days. Seems hard to believe the monitor works perfectly until I update to Win 7 and then it stops working. Right now, I'm using 1400? x 1050?, but that's not its native resolution.

Solution for others with this problem:

Bit late now for the OP, but for anyone else having this problem which is apparently common with the VX2025wm - after days of toiling, eventually, I tried using a VGA cable from the VGA output on the monitor, running it into a VGA/DVI converter into my videocards DVI input, and it solved the problem instantly. Windows 7 loaded in 1680x1050 instantly and issue was totally resolved.

Before this I was running straight DVI from monitor to card and I couldn't so much as adjust the resolution far beyond 1024x768, even after installing latest Nvidia drivers, updating Windows 7, searching and installing numerous ViewSonic driver packages, or even trying to force/custom create an alternative resolution in the Nvidia Control Panel.

I don't know if the DVI cord, or the DVI output on the monitor was damaged, and I can't explain why, but swapping for a VGA cord into a converter solved this issue completely, so for anyone else going insane trying to figure out how to run this monitor in it's native resolution, give this a shot.

Found a zip for the driver at http://www.viewsoniceurope.com/uk/products/archive/vx2025wm.htm
the 4MB d/l was http://www.viewsonic.com/support/downloads/drivers/_download/Monitor_EDID.zip
this zip is just a EDIC/DDC EnCoding and Decoding Program
...
from http://www.helpowl.com/p/ViewSonic/VX2025WM/Research/20422?search=viewsonic vx2025wm driver
i found access to various OS versions of the driver. A 1MB copy for W7.
but it seems to want to force a 7zip download manager/spyware install.
...
from http://www.howtodrivers.com/model501655.html
that tries to instal a bogus driverDective .exe

...
The problem i am having with the moniter (it IDs as a Generic PnP Monitor in properties [W7 64b]) in a dual monitor setup, the viewsonic will not display.

Both monitors used to display in startup (showing the mobo flash screen) now after loging into w7 the viewsonic vx2025wm stays black. (problematic when certain programs/browsers open in that secondary display)

What i do is rmc (Right Mouse Click) the desktop of the moniter that does work (Acer 27") and select screen resolution. From there make sure the VX2025wm is indicated in the Display, lower right find and select 'Advanced settings', that opens a popup Generic PnP Monitor and ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series Properties, select the Monitor tab, it shows the screen refresh rate: 60 Hertz, and Colours True Color [32 bit], i change the refresh to 75Hz and in a few sec the viewsonic displays an out of range notice, so within the 15 second 'Do You Want to Keep These Settings' timer i choose NO, and then the viewsonic finally displays properly.
A bit tedious, but untill i can find a reasonable 120Hz 27 or 30" monitor to replace the viewsonic with, it has to do.

Eventually i want a set of three 27 or 30" in portrait mode.
