Hi!

I have a problem with this monitor Viewsonic VX2025wm: when i setup the native resolution in win Xp after few minutes it appears a strange image all around the screen: coloured stairs of pixel comes vertically. Then it appears NO SIGNAL and I have to reboot. The strange thing is that I do not have this problem in game, when I play @ 1680x1050.
I use the DVI connection with a geforce 4 4800 SE video card with the latest driver.
Do you know how to solve it?

Thanks
Ale

Sounds like it's your video card.

I have the same monitor, and I've heard of several people having issues with the DVI connection, but almost all of those people were using a Geforce 4 series or Radeon 9xxx series or lower.
I'm not sure if the Geforce 5 series will work fine, but if you upgrade to a 6 or 7 series, you should have absolutely no problem. From my experiences, the Radeon X series works just fine ( I have an x700 right now ). Besides, you might want to upgrade soon anyway if you plan to game at the native resolution.

It's awesome monitor though... my only solution though is to upgrade the video card or use the D-Sub cable instead of the DVI.
