Q) Do you have a price match policy?
A) Office Depot is THE leader in everyday low prices, and we prove it every day in every way! If you find a lower price on a new, identical product advertised for less at any other office product or consumer electronic supplier, or even in any of our other channels of distribution (which may sell at lower prices from time to time), within 14 days of your Office Depot purchase, please call us at (800)GO-DEPOT and we will match the price, instantly. Please see page the Low Price Guarantee page under Customer Service for full details.

How do Office Depot coupons and rebates affect Office Depot's price and its price match policy?

Coupons, instant rebates, and mail in rebates offered by Office Depot will be deducted to arrive at a net price. For example, if you buy a product from us for $10, and we offer you a $3 rebate or a $3 coupon, the net price to you is $7. Should another company offer that product for $8, we would not match the $8 price, since your net price is already lower at $7. Sorry, we will not match mail in rebates from other office product or consumer electronic suppliers.

So it looks like the answer is that they may PM to Egg, but they will not compare their pre MIR price to Egg's straight up.

I don't think that $50 rebate is a OD rebate. Looks like a manufacturer rebate if purchased @OD. Also, where can I find the $30 off $150 coupon?

Oh, I get it. You have to call the number, cant order online.

SOrry for being dumb.

I think you'd still need the coupon when you pick up though. Unless they don't check for it.

Most excellent post Mr. Speed!
Nothing missing at all.
Unusual for hardly any OPs in hot deals to be so complete.
Found one in my area...off I go. 😀😀😀

OD tech would not tdo the pricematch to NE as there is no $50 rebate on the NE site except that you have to buy a computer AND the Viewsonic to get it.
He would not do the deal! I even explained that my Price would be $30 higher than a M.O. thru N/E because of the tax...He would not budge.

Ok, I have done this now. I called OD using 800 number, and I had to do either ship at my home in order to get price match from newegg.com. After I did that, she told me that there r 3 monitors available for in-store pickup, so go ahead, and pick up from the store. She gave me price of $329 + Tax. She even said that this is one time courtesy price match, and I won't be gettng those again, but who cares.

Now the next task is to get additional $30 from in-store pickup. Keep you posted.

lol I just called and some "Victor" guy flat out told me they don't price match Newegg, and their PM policy only refers to office supplies like staples and such.

What BS!

I would say keep calling till you can work with Frindly Female Operator. I hate working with Male Sales Exec. I wonder if anyone has done any study on how many people don't order thinngs from Male Sales Exec.

Ok, all I did was hang up and call again, hoping for a different guy. This guy was very confused, and eventually called his supervisor. End result: price matched to New egg, yay.

BUT- how do we get this $30 coupon now? OP, can you explain more please?

The OD website has a $30 off $150 coupon somewhere. Not a print out, just kind of like a promo. However it says it excludes monitors. Big YMMV.

I went last night, and they would not give me additonal $30 since they can't find the offer anywhere on the system. So my final cost is:

$379 - $50 (newegg.com PM) = $329 + 7.6% tax = $354 - $50 MIR = $304 final cost if I get the rebate back. I am not sure how well the Viewsonic rebate process.

They have asked me to comeback again with that offer/printout to see if they can find the fineprint not to give me $30. This $30 off of $150 clearly stats that excludes technology product, so I am sort of debating I should go, and make fool of myself.
