Viewsonic vx2025 Huge Banding Problems

I just recently upgraded to a dual monitor setup with a 17"lcd and the viewsonic vx2025wm.

The viewsonic is my right monitor and is my secondary. If i remember correctly the color and banding was not a problem until one day it all of a sudden started to have gradient banding.

Some of the grays in the band are pinkish in color. My other 17" didnt have banding for some reason, so i decided to switch my viewsonic as the primary, and now BOTH monitors have banding. I'm using ultramon.

If anyone could help me to fix this problem i would greatly appreciate it. Also i've recalibrated many times with adobe gamma

Should i be considering an RMA?

have u tried hooking up the vx2025wm as your only monitor? also try using the other dvi port on your x850... if all else fails just RMA it, i've had mine for 5 months and its perfectly fine except for the backlight bleeding during movies with the black bars on the corners.. but thats not really a problem

yea i have tried having it as my only monitor. Also my vid card only has 1 dvi port. I'll try it again though.

Its really weird my 17" has no banding, but my viewsonic bands like crazy. When i searched online it seems like no one has my problem.

OMG.

Someone in my family set back the color quality from 32bit back to 16bit. From the display properties. No wonder it wouldnt display color properly.

I guess for anyone reading this thread, check your color quality.

Yeah i dont know if i should be happy that it was just the color quality setting or be mad that i spent hours trying to fix it when it was just the color quality. LOL

Glad your monitor isn't defective. 🙂
