Hello folks.

I got stuck between buying eighter Viewsonic VP201B or Samsung 204T. It would be wonderful if you guys could point out good and bad parts of those monitors. WHich one should i choose? If you think that both of them are not good enough to play games please point out another monitor.

I will use my screen for mainly text editing (Need sharp text quality) but I play games like Quake 3, DOOM3 or CS (no shadows or anything anything else).

On the other hand can i connect XBOX 360 to these LCD monitors and play games without any problem?
Thank you so much for your reviews.

If you're doing anything that requires smooth motion, stay away from the 204t. I tried a few of them and they all did the same thing, whether under Windows, Linux, Mac OS, DVI and VGA, 60 and 75hz. This was a peculiar "skipping" when an attempt is made to synchronize to the vertical blank interval. As a result, any vsync'd motion will make sporadic jumps, as if to catch up with the video output. This is a particularly nasty issue that makes me wonder how this monitor ended up on shelves.

I might check out the vp201 soon personally and see how well it does.

According to Anand, the VP201 is essentially the same as the Dell 2001FP.
