Viewsonic VP191P or Samsung 191T

I'm considering on purchasing a 19" LCD monitor in the near future. I've narrowed my choices down to the Viewsonic VP191P and the Samsung 191T. I can't find out the dot pitch on the Viewsonic but I'm guessing it's 0.294 like most other 19" LCD's I've read up on. Anyone have this Viewsonic monitor and could give me their opinion on it? Thanks.

All 19 inch LCD monitors that run 1280 x 1024 have the same 0.294mm pixel pitch. The pixel pitch multiplied by the resolution defines the physical size of the panel. Suggest you consider the new Planar PX191M.

Looked up info on the Planar PX191 and I must say it's a nice panel. Unforunately, it's a little out of my price range though. I was looking to spend anywhere between $600-700.

Dell have just had one of their hotdeals. You could have gotten the PX191 for $615. I suggest you check out the hotdeals forum at least once a week, as Dell have these hotdeals almost all the time.

Maybe this is useful.

yeah, i heard about the dell "deal" one day too late. it was dead by the time i found out. that 20" planar would've been really nice. i usually check out the hot deals forum a few times a week so i got that covered.
