Viewsonic VP191B Discontinued?

Basically, was the VP191B really discontinued? Apparatly the article by Toms Hardware Guide says so.

Should I still try and get the VP191B, or should I go for the VP930 like they say in the article.
BTW, I'm a gamer, so I want a fast responce time, and the VP191B was really well balance, which is why I liked it.

Well, I'm not sure if it's been discontinued but it did have slightly better response, yeah. However the VP930b has better contrast and color accuracy so you won't be disappointed with either.

Anyway, the VP930B is no more than 2ms slower than the already fast VP191B.
Decisions, Decisions. Which one to get. I don't want to wait till the Christmas rush, since then they might both be sold out.

Sorry about the changes, I tend to do that a lot.
I didn't realize the VP191b did have a noticeable decrease in response time at first. Then I removed the part about the colors being more accurate on the VP930b when THG's conclusion said otherwise. Then I looked at the color graph and contrast and conluded THG's conclusion must have been wrong. I should have done that before I posted. 😛

The VP930b is 3ms. slower at one point, which may or may not be noticeable. Also, the response graph is a lot more stable, which means, well, you won't notice ghosting as much between colors. Overall I'd say the VP191b is 15% better in that department.

Edit: all I added this time was "between colors" in the above sentence, because I'm picky like that.
 
There is also the Samsung 970P that's supposed to be decent and probably better than the VP930b, but I don't know how response time compares because Tom's hasn't reviewed it yet.
 
So basically, I get which ever is in stock at newegg, which will prabably be the VP930B since the VP191B has been discontinued.
Is it even worth trying to get the VP191B, is 3ms really that noticable?

Uhhhh I'm not sure if that'll be noticeable or not, that you'll have to see for yourself. Probably not though. It is only 3ms. in one case. If it were 3ms. all across the board it would be different. Sure, get whatever's in stock.
 
VP191B FTW!!!!!

I have the VP171B, its an awesome panel. Never have I ever, ever ever ever ever, noticed the slightest bit of ghosting. Colors are bright and the image is sharp. Can't imagine the VP191B would be any different
 
Yeah, I was reading the same, that they had discontinued VP191B. I believe it was over at BeHardware, where they have a number of pretty good LCD monitor reviews.

But it could have been at Tom's, too.
