Viewsonic vp171B annoying lines...

I currently have both the Viewsonic VP171B and a Mitsubishi SB930, and I'm trying to decide which one is better.

The Viewsonic absolutely spanks the Mitsu in terms of image/text sharpness; everything looks very sharp and crisp on the viewsonic while everything is blurry by comparison on the mitsu. I have it setup as a dual monitor display, so I can really compare things side-by-side.

The only thing keeping the viewsonic from being victorious in my comparison is the periodic appearance of fine vertical or horizontal lines seen coursing through certain colors. This happens most often with shades of gray (like on this forum), but can be seen in other solid colors. This is very annoying, and likely to cause headaches--and may lead to the monitor being returned in favor of the mitsu.

Anyone else have this problem with the viewsonic or other LCD? Any solutions? I'm using the DVI connection, assuming it would be best. Would the problem disappear if I switch over to analog?

Help!

Thanks..
