Hardwarezone review

If you check Pricegrabber, other vendors are selling it for around this price and lower also. However, make sure you CHECK for -2 in the model number, or 8ms. The VP171B without the -2 is the 16ms model.

Not trying to thread crap, but is this really a hot deal? I mena it doesn't appear to be on sale or anything, and you can find others cheaper. Although I will give it proprs for being 8ms, but still.

find me a good branded 17", 8ms, DVI, 500:1 contrast for ~$350 and you can be my daddy for a day, ok?

I picked one of these up yesterday. Haven't heard one bad review for this monitor. 3 inches smaller than the FP's but at $200 less, it's certainly a good alternative.

i bought a vp171b a couple years ago, it was marketed at 16ms at the time. Was the model completely re-designed so that it's 8ms now? Or did they just find some tricky way to measure the response time and call it 8ms? Because if it is a new 17inch lcd with 8ms response i would think that they would give it a new name or place it in it a different series or something. Mine has the same inputs as mentioned above...kind of confused...anyone? anything?
