Viewsonic P95F & connector Q

Anyone have this monitor? Mine is on order and I'm just curious about the connectors listed at the website:

CONNECTOR
15-pin mini D-sub [dettached] [BNC x5 (R, G, B, H, V)]

Which is it? is deattached 15-pin mini D-sub == BNC, or does it mean it has both? The last thing I want when it gets here is to not have the proper hookup to my videocard...if I'll need any form of BNC adapter, I'd rather get it up-front.

I have an MSI GF4 Ti4400 with DVI out and the standard VGA out (which, AFAIK, is 15 pins ) I plan on using my old 17" as a 2nd monitor and I have the DVI->VGA connector that came with the card. I read up on it and it sounds like there's 0 quality loss in DVI to VGA conversion. (as it outputs both the digital signal and the analog signal)

Any info on this would be much appreciated

onelin0, your computer monitor has two different inputs on it. The first is the standard 15-pin mini D-sub; this connection the blue one that is used universally to connect your videocard to your monitor. The second input (the 5 BNC connectors) are a higher quality input used by CAD/graphics professionals. Unfortunately, this is where my knowledge of BNC stops.

But, to answer your original question: yes, your monitor will hook up to your videocard just fine.

I just upgraded to the p95f and I would be happy to inform you that I wasted $44 on a BNC connector cable by monster cables, people often say they noticed sharper text and improved color because the BNC connector seperates each signal but I'm running 1024x768 at 140hz and noticed no improvements of any kind. If you ever decide to ponder about getting a BNC, the answer is no.

thanks for the info guys. I was pretty sure it'd mean both, but with this kind of purchase...when I have it in my hands, I don't want any delays/probs/etc. Sounds like BNC will be both unnecessary and unworthwhile for me.
