I just bought a viewsonic vp2030b (20.1 inch lcd 8ms gray-to-gray, 16ms off-on-off) from newegg. First off: BEATIFUL monitor. I don't notice any ghosting and the picture quality is great. My only issue is whenever I play any video at all, the video window 'dances' a bit. you see lines of the video shift back and forth horizontally!
now some info on my setup:
I'm using an XFX Nvidea 6600GT 128MB card using a DVI cable to connect to the monitor. I have the issue ONLY with 1400x1050 and 1600x1200 resolution. I see the problem with both DVI-A and DVI-D, sad thing is I can't control if its Analog or Digital =x. Everytime I install a different monitor driver or install the perfect suite program that came with monitor it switches on me! The thing that drives me nuts is that after I install a new driver or perfectsuite (I'm often uninstalling and trying it again, or trying the monitor drivers online vs CD that came with the monitor) sometimes the problem goes away! But after I restart my computer sometimes it will come back. I called viewsonic and the kind yet clueless tech support lady just sent me a new cable, I'll try it when it comes in. The next step as far as she's concerned is getting the monitor replaced =/. So....any suggestions? =)
