Mine doesn't seem to, but the user guide says they all do.

ViewSonic Tech Support was of no help.

My model number is VG 2230wm, and I am NOT able to make this item raise or lower on the column, which is attached to the base.

Anyone?

Mine does not - it is a fixed pedestal - but about 2+ years old. I think some of the newer VX's do.

I was just looking at the PDF brochure for the VG2030WM and it shows a height adjustment of about 2 inches.

My olde timey VP171b soitenly does -along with swivel, tilt, rotate and loopdeloop. Indeed, the stand was what made it stand out when everyone else and their cat were flogging displays with the same panel.

The good news is, universal wall and desk mount arms are dirt cheap these days and could save moolah in the long run by allowing selection of displays with basic stands.

Thanks, everyone.

But there is no way my model VG2230wm is going to rotate, or raise up and down. Not without breaking it!

What gives? I neither need to stick something underneath it, or lower my chair!

I have to say I'm disappointed. Nice monitor, but...

describe the base of yours, mine has rectangular box that the monitor slides up and down in and the base as a whole swivels in circle. maybe something is obstructing it?

look at the arm that slides up and down, from the picture it is right above were it goes into base.

Doh! OK, you win the prize, and it's on its way to your front door.

Me, on the other hand, am going to ask myself what I have a college degree for, and how I even earned it in the first place.

Some of my work as a graphic designer has involved writing tech manuals for tech companies, if you can believe that. I completely overlooked this step of removing the pin.

Thanks so much. I'm going back to my cave now.
