Viewsonic G90FB goes squeak when powering up outta standby. Any ideas?

have had my Viewsonic G90FB for a couple of weeks. Made in January of 2004. Every once in a while, it'll make a high-pitched "squeak" noise right before or after the Windows XP loading screen. It is defnitely a different sound than the power/wake up sound. 2-3 times it has also shifted my desktop screen over to the right side halfway. My screen was half black, and my cursor would not move into it. It was like my left/right setting was off. The cable is good and plugged in well to my 9800XT. Resolution is 75HZ at 1025X768. Viewsonic could offer no help. I am at a loss. Suggestions? Comments?

Thanks,

Well, my Viewsonic E70f makes a kind of little ?.?eeehhhh??sound when it goes out of standby-off. Normal for the solenoid when it switches.

I am cool with the static sound it makes when it wakes up. It is like when you turn on a CRT TV. Right before/during/after the XP loading screen, it emits a high-pitched chirp. Viewsonic says it could be the monitor of the video card. Both have the latest drivers. I am at a loss. I have my old DELL PIII/450 W98 box at home to try it out on. I'll play with it over the weekend. To be honest, I'd rather RMA a small VG versus a big monitor.

I currently have a monitor obsession. I want the best out of my new-used purchase 🙂
