Viewsonic 2030b v HP 2065

About to pull the trigger on a 4:3 ratio 20" lcd monitor for "prosumer" home use. I generallly want for photochopping, editing of a serious, albeit home-based use. I may also start to get into limited video editing (home movies, just had a kid). Finally, who doesn't like to blast away at some game?

So, figgured on either the viewsonic vp2030b or HP lp2065 monitors. Can't find a real, in-depth review of either. They seem very close in performance and price, so maybe neither is a bad choice? Also, the HP is stodgy looking but does have a current $40 rebate. Alternatively, I prefer the viewsonic name, but what's in a name anymore.

So, anyone with any RL experience, please chime in.

I certainly can't explain it in english (or any othr language), but you can find a brief write-up about the ytpes over at tftcentral.com under "specifications". it'll hip you to TN, IPS (and its variants like S-IPS), and VA/MVA (and its variants).

seems each offers a benefit/draw back. For me, the HP may hit the spot.

Thanks,
