The newest verson of AOL Instant Messenger installs Viewpoint Media Player (spyware) despite not mentioning it anywhere in the EULA. That really pisses me off. I can't even trust software that I've been using for years not to have spyware in it.
So, I'm gonna get rid of AOL Instant Messenger and use something else.
I've tried GAIM, but I find the interface somewhat annoying and it's hard for me to get used to. I am not a big fan of paying for Trillian. What else is there to use in Windows for instant messaging on AOL's network without dealing with programs installed without my permission?
