Viewing pictures on CD...

Is there any way to make a CD of pictures that can be viewed on any computer without having to open each individual picture. Like including some kind of program that can be run when the CD is inserted into the computer? Is there anything that would run on both Mac and PC platforms? Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
David

Yes! I create photo CDs regularly with a run-time slide viewer. I send them to people with Macs, and if they have a Windows emulation program, they can run them, but I really design them for PCs.

There are several run-time slide viewers around . . . shareware as well as commercial. One of the easiest comes with Adobe PhotoDeluxe . . . called EZ-Photo. I now use a French creation I downloaded called "Aliu's Magic Lantern."
