coreavc is a good decoder, but to get smp you gotta pay for it or somethin, still install quicktime alternative to download the file in the first place.

Why all the Quicktime hatred? The link works fine for me in both FF and IE7, though it does skip a little because I'm also downloading a sizable amount of updates.

it tries to install cr@p into your system tray that you have to disable, then it has a really really lousy standard player.

Exactly what spyware/adware does QT have?

I've used it in video production for years and never had a single problem with it.
