View Linksys Router Log?

seismik

Senior member
I've got a BEFSR41 Linksys router, and I was wondering what program(s) I can use to view and store the log from it. I've set the log to point at my IP, and I can view recent entries by connecting to the router itself, but I would like to see this from Windows, and be able to watch people trying to hack me, ect.

Anyone done something like this?

(Sorry, this should probably be under Networking -- mods please feel free to move it if you can)

Google for "Linksys LogViewer" It is a small application made by Linksys themselves. Its designed to capture the access log as the router broadcasts it out.

The router will only send the log to the IP addresses you have set. If you want the log to be sent to ALL PCs on your network make the last 3 digits of the IP addy 254. e.g. if you use 192.168.1.x for your network, then put 192.168.1.254 in the IP address box. If you do this all PCs with the Linksys LogViewer application will receive the log broadcasts.
