View a graph of CPU usage by process?

Sometimes I'll notice my cpu spike for no apparent reason (likely some background service doing an update or something to that effect...) but by the time I get to task manager and sort by CPU all is well again


are there any apps that monitor cpu usage by process over time. Like I could pull up a line graph and see 'processN.exe spiked to 44% cpu 5 minutes ago and return to 0% 3 seconds later'

in rivatuner, i believe in monitoring, you can configure the plugins and enable cpu usage.

Windows Performance Monitor. It's there for doing exactly what you want to do.
Sysnternal's (now Microsoft's) Process Explorer.
