Videos Will Not Play

Whenever I try to play videos on sites like Youtube, Metacafe, etc., I am brought to the page with the video on it and after this nothing happens. It appears to be loading, and even gives me a loading message on some of these sites, but even leaving the page open and waiting yields no progress whatsoever. I have tried visiting these sites on both Firefox 2.0.0.13 (which I have also tried un- and reinstalling) and IE 7. The worst part is that all of these sites used to work perfectly fine several months ago, but just stopped working. I have since tried a handful of solutions to fix this problem but it seems that my problem might be unique, as none of the solutions that I have found thus far have had any positive effect. Any help resolving this issue would be GREATLY appreciated!

Those sites require flash player to play the video's, maybe you should try reinstalling that. Worth keeping in mind of the seperate installs of Flash for IE and Mozilla.
 
Thank you, but I have tried reinstalling Flash, and updating it, and all of that repeatedly. I have the latest version, and I forgot to mention in my OP that Flash Player works perfectly fine on other sites like Newgrounds, both with their games and movies.
