this girl im talking to via aim says that her videos (mpeg) and pictures (jpg) always look really dark but other things like windows and aim look fine. so i told her to try all the obvious things like adjusting the contrast and brightness of her monitor, but all that does is then make everything too light except for the videos and pics now.
i think it might be a driver issue (she has a 3dfx voodoo banshee) but i know i won't be able to explain to her how to install the drivers herself and i can't do it myself since we live a few 100 miles apart.
anyone else have any ideas of what is causing this? could the monitor be bad?
