Videos on my Zen Vision M

Ameesh

Lifer
Do any of you guys know how to get a DVD's content on to my zen vision M? I am trying to find a simple way to transfer my B5 set on to Zen so I can watch while I am at the Gym.

Thanks,
Ameesh

I'm gonna take a stab and say B5 = Babylon 5.

Zen Vision M supports DivX. Go to Doom9.net and learn how to convert DVD to AVI/DivX/XviD. Or BT it.

I had issues with several of the "easy" tools like clonemobile, etc...

Ultimately I ended up just using Gordian Knot - worked perfectly for every DVD I tried, no sync issues at all.

As Baked said, doom9.net is a great resource.

Yeah you should just bitorrent it. It's legal since you own the dvd's

Don't kid yourself into thinking you'd be safe even if what you do is legal (and I don't know if it's legal or not). You could still be sued.

If the RIAA sees your download and decides to sue you, you'd face a big pain in the rear and big attorney bills to fight the lawsuit. Trying to assert that it was legal and winning a court battle that way guarantees huge legal bills, big stress, time away from work, etc.

In other words, even if you won the law suit, you'd still lose. You just don't want to deal with a court battle. It's not fun and screws up your life.

Copyright laws have given copyright holders, especially ones with big legal budgets, too much power. Not only do they prevent piracy, but they prevent all sorts of activities that are legal and beneficial to society.
