Hi everybody! /sry for the long text...
I've been having some really annoying problems with my computer, it crashes in games and videos but not while running any benchmarking programs like 3dmark06/3dmark Vantage. I've tried reinstalling windows 7, downgrading to windows vista, and even XP. Also done some testing with ubuntu with the video crash. But none of them have made any difference. Since the benchmarking programs did not cause the computer to crash Im beginning to doubt that its not the gpu. Also I've tried running memtests on both the vram and the normal rams...
Explanation of a crash:
1. The active window/program crashes.
2. If its a video player then I can minimize the window and open any other program which will immediatly crash when opened.
3. It will continue to crash different programs until it reaches the explorer.exe and crash that, after that I cant move my mouse, and "num lock" is frozen.
The Motherboard, ram and CPU Cooler is new(less than a day old)... Upgraded from ASUS Maximus Formula with DDR2-1066. This setup was experiencing the exact same problems/crashes, which let me to buy a new mobo and ram..
