Anytime I play any kind of video file in WMP, I have to turn up the brightness slider a bit. Is there a way to make this permanent? I don't want to turn up the brightness for everything (in video card settings). Video card is a GF3.

Also playing files on putfile or google video, they run in Flash for some reason, so I can't find a way to adjust the brightness. Is there none? And why do they use Flash?

Try going in the NVIDIA control panel, color correction, and turn up the brightness for the Overlay section.

Wouldn't that adjust everything displayed?
Only thing I can find is in display properties/settings/advanced/Nvidia's Color Correction tab.

Slickone, where it says "Apply color changes to:" change the dropdown box to Overlay/VMR.

Overlay only adjusts video playback that uses overlay as a means to display it on your screen. Nothing else is affected.

I recommend updating your ForceWare drivers. The latest ones still support the GF3, right? If there is no overlay in the control panels that you have now then I'm not sure what you'll do.
